There are many ways to show your support for UA, from monthly contributions to leaving a legacy gift in your will.
In addition to outright gifts of cash, checks and online gifts by credit card, there are several other ways for donors to contribute funds to benefit the University. These include convenient recurring gift options through bank draft or UA payroll deduction, multiple year commitments through pledges, and gifts of securities and property.
As you think about your future, consider leaving a personal legacy to The University of Alabama. By making a planned gift, your legacy will become part of the University’s future and serve as a permanent reminder of your generosity to and love for UA.
Planned gifts include assets, bequests in a will, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, retirement plans and life insurance policies. They can offer financial benefits through income and estate tax savings and arrangements that provide lifetime income. For additional information about planned giving, visit plannedgiving.ua.edu.
Did you know that you can double or even triple the value of your gift? Thousands of companies nationwide sponsor matching gift programs to encourage employees to make charitable contributions. Some companies may even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
Click on the link below to access our Matching Gift Search Tool to find out if your company has a matching gift program. If your employer is listed, the search results will provide you with a link to your company’s matching gift information where you should be able to obtain a form. You can also contact your Human Resources department to obtain a matching gift form.

Gifts of Securities
Gifts of marketable securities may be an attractive option for donors who have appreciated stock. Donors may be able to claim the market value of the security as a charitable contribution and avoid paying taxes on capital gains. The proceeds, net of gains or losses realized by the sale, brokerage fees and any income generated during the holding period, are deposited as directed by the donor.
You can also make a gift of publicly traded stocks or mutual funds to The University of Alabama.
UA is grateful to Raymond James for waiving their fees to process your gift. Therefore, 100% of your contribution will be for the purposes designated.
