The Fund: Student Internship Stipends

Internships are crucial for students as they provide real-world experience, allowing students to apply classroom knowledge in practical settings.

A gift to the Senior Legacy Society in 2025-26 will support internship stipends through the UA Division of Student Life and the UA Career Center.

The Senior Legacy Society medallion is a symbol of your commitment to the philanthropic foundation of UA.

After you make your gift, pick up your SLS medallion at Alumni Hall. Wear it during senior photo shoots on campus and commencement, and display it in your home or office.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where and when can I pick up my Senior Legacy Society medallion?

Pick up your medallion at any Senior Legacy Society event or at Alumni Hall located at 224 Bryant Drive Drive, next door to the Paul W. Bryant Conference Center and directly across the street from Sewell-Thomas Baseball Stadium. Medallions can be picked up Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., excluding UA holidays.

Can someone else pick up a medallion for me?

Yes, please email seniorlegacy@ua.edu and the person picking up your medallion stating that you wish for he or she to do so and the approximate date and time of pickup.

Where can I find information on upcoming Senior Legacy Society Events?

Representatives from the National Alumni Association and the UA Division of Advancement will table at senior-focused events throughout the year, such as Senior Sendoff, Senior Celebration and more. These dates and times will be shared on this web page and via emails from the Division of Student Life.

Will shipping be available for SLS medallions?

At this time, we plan to only distribute medallions in person at SLS events at Alumni Hall. Please call Caroline Malone, campaign and principal gifts coordinator, at 205-348-2291 if your circumstance requires shipping.

Can I make an SLS gift in honor of a UA senior?

Yes, you can make an SLS gift in someone else’s honor. We do ask that the Contact Information on the gift page reflect the individual you are making the gift in honor of.
